THE BOYS CLUBFor men in the property industry

The small print

Terms

No one reads these either. So this is the short version, in the same voice as the rest of the site.

Mostly it's here to be clear about what The Boys Club is, what it isn't, and how we'd like men to treat each other while we've got it running.

What this site is

The Boys Club is a community for men in the property industry, run by a small voluntary committee of men who give their spare time to it. It isn't a company, it isn't a shop and it isn't selling you anything.

If you need to reach someone about the site or anything on this page, contact Ben Madden at ben@digitalsparks.co.uk, or use the contact form.

By using the site you're happy with the few lines here. That's all terms means for us.

What this site isn't

We're not a mental health service, counselling, or professional advice of any kind - not medical, not financial, not legal. When men talk about money, work or home on here, they're sharing what's happened to them, not telling you what to do.

If something in your life needs a professional, the Support section points to organisations that are qualified for it. If you or someone else is in danger, call 999. For urgent support, Samaritans are free on 116 123, any time, or call NHS 111 and choose the mental health option.

Events

We plan events properly, but they're run by people, not a ticketing system. Dates, times and places can move, and sometimes something gets called off. If anything changes we'll tell you as soon as we can.

What's on an event page isn't a booking until we've confirmed it with you directly.

If we ever charge for an event, we'll say so clearly before you book. If we cancel a paid event, you'll get your money back in full. If you can't make one you've paid for, tell us as early as you can and we'll do what we can.

Being decent

The Facebook Group runs on Facebook's rules, not ours, and their terms apply once you're in there. What we do ask is simple: be decent. No abuse, no discrimination, no pitching at people who didn't ask for it.

If someone isn't, we can remove their posts or their access - and we will, without a debate. The same goes for the contact form: use it to get in touch, not to send us junk.

Our name and other people's

The name, logo, words and photos on this site belong to The Boys Club committee or the people who created them. Please don't use them in a way that suggests we've partnered with you or backed something.

The support organisations we list have their own names and logos, and those belong to them. We show them because we think they're useful, not because they endorse us. We aren't formally affiliated with any of them.

If something goes wrong

We keep the site as accurate and as available as we can, but we can't promise it will never break or that every detail stays right up to the second you read it.

If you spot something wrong, tell us and we'll fix it. Beyond that, we can't take responsibility for what happens as a result of something you read here. It's the standard line, not us dodging you. Nothing here limits any responsibility the law says we can't limit.

The law

These lines are covered by the law of England and Wales. If there's ever a problem we can't settle between us, that's where it would be dealt with.

If this changes

If we change any of this, we'll update this page so it stays honest about how things actually work.

If any of this doesn't sit right, or you'd like it said differently, get in touch. The contact form works just as well for that as it does for everything else.
